Principle Investigator
Dr. Jun Sung Seo is a plant molecular biologist specializing in functional genomics and crop biotechnology. His research has focused on elucidating the role of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in plant immunity, developing plant disease diagnostic systems using nanosensors, and engineering drought-tolerant rice and soybean through gene discovery and trait optimization. Currently, He is actively investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) in crops to improve sustainable agricultural productivity. Dr. Seo integrates advanced genomic tools and gene editing technologies to address global challenges in crop production and environmental resilience.
